Starting in early August, I will be at Washington Square Park (from Grand Central Terminal, take the subway 6 line to Astor Place) by the chess tables from 6AM to 10AM (hours to change with daylight), every morning. My time is not free; hence, I charge $5/game. The time control is 10+0: ten minutes on each side, no delay, no increment. (Most park regulars do 3+0 or 5+0, but I like to let my opponents think a bit. It tends to make for more interesting games.) I do not gamble, i.e. no "pay the winner." I enjoy conversing during games, so bring any topic you'd like to discuss and let's talk about it over a game of chess.
NOTES: (1) As soon as the game is over, the meeting is over. No overflow. (2) First come first serve, and no consecutive game buys that aren't prepaid. (3) Touch move, please. I won't be an asshat but don't be one either. Golden rule. (4) Oops! I said 5AM to 9AM earlier, but I learned the park officially opens at 6AM.
